Peach buns

Yeeeeeaaah, baby.

For those of you unaware of what these are, they are Longevity Buns. They are extremely soft, steamed dessert buns filled with lotus paste and sometimes (like in the ones I had) contain a whole egg yolk in the center.
When you bite into it or pull it apart, the warm paste mixed with a bit of the liquid egg yolk oozes out and it's just pure, awesome, mouthgasim.

They're made to resemble a peach, which in the Chinese culture symbolizes longevity. So these babies are commonly eaten on the birthdays of the elderly (you know, to bless the person with a longer life so that they will live for more birthdays), but can really be consumed any time you feel like it.

Also, they're f*cking delicious.
